Amy's mum 'too ill' to help her

London, Mar 24 : Troubled star Amy Winehouse's mother admits that she is "too ill" to handle her junkie daughter.

Janis Winehouse, who suffers from multiple sclerosis believes that the stress of controlling the 24-year-old singer can make her ailment worse.

"I just can't do all that running around to wherever there's been a problem," The Sun quoted Janis as saying.

However, 52-year-old Janis did appreciate Amy's father Mitch's efforts to help his daughter tackle her drug addiction.

"He does a great job on behalf of both of us," she added.
