AAL opens manufacturing unit at Pashmylaram
Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) Responding to the growing needs of Indian farmers, Aries Agro Ltd (AAL), a speciality micro nutrient listed company today opened a new manufacturing unit at Pashmylaram, about 30 kms from here, at a cost of Rs 2.45 crore.
The new 21,600 tonne-per-annum (TPA) facility, constructed over of an area of 24,000 sq ft, would be upgraded by adding another 32,400 TPA capacity. The new unit was dedicated to produce 'Aries Agromin Max' and 'Aries Chelamin', the two flagship brands of AAL.
The facility would also be engaged in the packaging of other major brands with a packing capacity of nine million pouches per year.
In the fiscal year 2008-09, company has planned to set up new manufacturing units at Ahmedabad, Lucknow and an additional unit in Maharashtra to ramp up its capacity to one lakh TPA.
Speaking on the occasion, AAL Executive Director Rahul Mirchandani said the unit pack would eliminate the use of plastics and aluminum foil and would be affordable even for farmers with small and marginal land holdings.
Micro nutrient usage in India was increasing as farmers had realised the need for balanced fertilization with secondary and micro nutrients and were also looking out for options which would increase their productivity.
