3 held on charges of circulating fake notes

Belgaum, Mar 24 (UNI) The city police arrested three persons on charges of circulating fake notes and seized Rs 500 denomination notes, totalling Rs 2.90 lakh from their possession today.

Speaking to reporters here, Superintendent of Police Hemant Nimbalkar said Shivanand C Pujari and Davansab Kashimsab Nadaf were arrested on March 21 and on their information Timmanna Ningannanavar was arrested today.

All the three belonged to Jamakhandi in Bagalkot district, he said.

They were using a computer and scanner for duplicating notes and they were operating since last two years in Bagalkot and Bijapur districts.
