POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samity to violate prohibitory order
Kendrapara, Mar 23 (UNI) POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samiti president Abhaya Sahu today announced to violate the prohibitory order imposed u/s 144 Cr PC by the Orissa government and organise a mass rally on April one at Balitutha to celebrate Utkal Divas, the state formation day.
Mr Sahu told newspersons at Patana village that around 50,000 anti-POSCO supporters would attend the rally.
The government had decided to lay the foundation stone for the multi- million dollar POSCO plant at Balitutha on April one and imposed prohibitory orders at Balitutha and at its 3km radius apprehending breach of peace by the anti-POSCO activists.
Mr Sahu said they would organise Bikalpa Bikash Mahasamavesh at Balithutha by observing Utkal Divas on April one and threatened that the anti-POSCO supporters would take law into their hands if the state government used force and tried to prevent them.
Mr Sahu said the recently concluded socio-economic survey at the proposed POSCO sites was faulty.The district administration had completed the survey work forcibly by using goons and deploying police during the survey, he said UNI XC BD ADG AKJ HT2122
