Meghalaya's budget session to begin on Mar 24

Shillong, Mar 23: The budget session of Meghalaya Assembly will begin here tomorrow with an address by Governor S S Sidhu.

This is the first budget session of the Meghalaya Progressive Alliance government, led by Chief Minister Donkupar Roy, who took over from former Chief Minister D D Lapang on March 19.

The session will continue till March 27 when the Vote on Account will be passed by the House. The House is scheduled to meet again from April 15 to May 8 to take up other business.
