Mayor to inaugurate TB awareness stickers tomorrow
Mumbai, Mar 23 (UNI) City Mayor Shubha Raul will release the ''Rastyawar Thuku Naka'' (don't spit on the road) stickers, as part of the Tuberculosis (TB) awareness programme on the occasion of World TB day tomorrow.
Revealing this today, TB Association general secretary Dr Yetin Dholakia said that the association has got permission from all concerned agencies including RTO to paste the stickers in public places, to prohibit people from spitting on the roads, which is the main cause for spread of Tuberculosis.
The world TB Day is observed on March 24 every year, to spread awareness among the public about tuberculosis, which continues to cause deaths of several million people each year, mostly in the third world, Dr Dholakia added.
