They said two militants struck at village Bakhna near Doda on Friday night and kidnapped Mohammad Shafi, son of Lal Din from his house.
Police parties launched a search operation to trace the youth and found his bullet-ridden body in a field, about two-km away from his house, the sources said.
''Four to five bullets had been pumped into the body of the youth from point blank range,'' they said, adding the security forces were carrying out searches in the area to nab the militants.
