Four militants surrender in Tripura
Agartala, Mar 23 (UNI) A hardcore militant was arrested and four militants surrendered in Tripura in the past 48 hours.
Police said here today that a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the ultras, belonging to two separate outfits.
The Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawans arrested one Anil Debbarma (37), a suspected BNCT extremist, from remote North Maharanipur area in West Tripura while they recovered one US-made 9mm pistol and 3 rounds of ammunition in Teliamura area yesterday.
Meanwhile, two BNCT ultras have surrendered in Kanchanpur along the Mizoram border and deposited 36 hand-grenades and some ammunition.
Police further informed that two NLFT (BM) collaborators also surrendered and deposited 14 NLFT (BM) notice pad and several other incriminating documents.
