Former MP arrested in Bihar
Nawada, Mar 23 (UNI) Former MP Premchand Ram was today arrested in connection with manhandling of a truck driver, following issuance of warrant of arrest by a first class judicial magistrate.
Police said here that Mr Ram was arrested from his ancestral village, Bharsanda under Sirdala police station area in Nawada district.
''Mr Ram was arrested on the basis of warrant of arrest issued by first class judicial magistrate Subhash Chandra Dwedi in connection with manhandling of a truck driver,'' police said adding the case was registered in 1997.
In a separate case, two sons of the former MP and 11 others were also arrested during the day for allegedly damaging crops by igniting fire at a farm at Barsanda.
