Blueline overturns; one killed, scores injured
New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) The killer Blueline claimed its 19th victim in the city when a speeding bus hit a tree and overturned on Ashoka Road this afternoon.
Fifteen passengers were injured.
The accident occured when the speeding bus, plying on route number 729 between Kapashera and Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), steered out of control while negotiating a sharp turn near the office of the Election Commission of India.
A woman passenger was killed instant but police were yet to confirm the death.
The injured, including the driver, were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
The privately owned Blueline buses caused 120 deaths on the roads of the capital last year and the toll this year has reached 19 so far.
