Hideout busted, grenades recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 22: Security forces busted a hideout, recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition and arrested a militant in the Kashmir Valley, a defence spokesman said.

He said troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Central Reserve of Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation at general area Hal Nar, district of Ganderbal.

During the operation, they arrested a militant and unearthed the hideout.

The arms and ammunition recovered from the hideout included 137 rounds of AK ammunition, 01 Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, 23 Rounds of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher Grenades, 19 Hand Grenades, 01 Radio Set Antenna, 06 Electronic Detonator, 04 RPG Rounds, 03 IED Circuits, 01 IED Pressure Cooker Type and other administrative stores.
