Punjab Police to interrogate terrorists arrested by Delhi cops
Phillaur, Mar 21 (UNI) A Punjab Police team is expected to leave for the national capital soon to question the two Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorists who were nabbed by the Delhi police from Jalandhar yesterday.
Disclosing this to mediapersons at the Punjab Police Academy (PPA) today, DGP N P S Aulakh said that both the arrested terrorits will be brought to Punjab on production warrants.
Maintaining that the state police was always in a state of alertness, he said there was no question of revival of terrorism in the border state.
Regarding a weekly off for cops as proposed by the state government, the DGP said that all SSPs had been instructed to implement the decision.
He said that the police department has forwarded a proposal to the government for recruiting about 2000 constables.
