Providential escape for bird-hit New Delhi-Bagdogra flight

Siliguri, Mar 21 (UNI) A New Delhi-Bagdogra Spice Jet flight today had a providential escape after it hit a bird during landing at the Bagdogra airport in North Bengal.

Airport Director K K Bhowmik said the flight carrying 20 passengers developed a technical snag after being hit by the bird.

However, it made a safe landing.

All the passengers were safe, he added.

The engine of the aircraft developed a snag and it was being looked into by the engineers, Mr Bhowmik informed.
