Pakistan tests indigenously developed Uqaab

Rawalpindi, Mar 21: The final test flight of Pakistan's indigenously developed unmanned aerial vehicle, Uqaab was successfully conducted on Thursday.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and other senior officers and scientists, witnessed the test flight. All design parameters have been successfully validated, and the performance of Uqaab can be compared to any modern state of the art UAV, according to an army statement. Flight test was preceded by a series of trials in 2007 and is a reflection of Pakistan's technical prowess in the field of UAV technology.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) congratulated the scientists and engineers on their success, saying they had shown their versatile capabilities by delivering the new technology of UAVs.
