Only BJP can come to power on its own at Centre: Venkaiah
Visakhapatnam, Mar 21 (UNI) BJP Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today said his party was the only national party that can come to power at the Centre on its own strength in the coming elections.
Addressing the press here, he claimed no other party had the capability of establishing a government at the Centre without joining hands with other parties.
Here to inaugurate a two-day Party Zonal Political Training Camp for the North Andhra Districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam, Mr Naidu said the BJP would highlight prominently imbalances in agricultural sector, rise in prices and terrorism spreading its tentacles all over the country and also the vote bank politics being pursued by the ruling party at the Centre.
The people were moving away from the Congress and this was clearly indicated by the results of the Assembly elections held in 12 states since 2004 in which the Congress lost in almost ten.
He said the BJP was gearing up for the elections and the training camps were being organised in nine districts of Andhra Pradesh as part of the preparations.
Mr Naidu said the party will go it alone in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
If only the BJP came to power with majority at the Centre, the formation of new States are possible, he said recalling the creation of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand during the NDA Regime.
