Mudibidre receives 6 cm rain

Bangalore, Mar 21 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a most places over South Interior Karnataka at many places over Costal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (CM): Mudibidre 6, Mani, Sammardi 5 each, Mulki, Panambur, Kota, Karkala, Madikeri, Napoklu, Madapura, Hunsur, Sargur, Basaralu, C N Halli 4 each, Bajpe, Sulya, Kundapur, Virajpet, Somwarpet, Periyapatna, K R Nagara, M M Hills, K R Pet, K R Sagara 3 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at most places being appreciably so at a many places over South Interior Karnataka; fell at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over North Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places over South Interior Karnataka; below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, however appreciably above normal at few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38 degree celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures appreciably fell at most places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were normal over the State.

Mysore recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.1 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
