Krishna urges governor to leave CVS issue to new government
Bangalore, Mar 21 (UNI) Senior Congress leader S M Krishna today urged Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur to leave the issue of the implementation of new property tax under Capital Value-based system (CVS) in the city to the next elected government.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said rules and regulations framed by elected representatives was better than any decision taken during the President's rule. The issue should be left to the new government, he added.
It may be recalled that the 'Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike' (BBMP) had recently implemented a new house tax system by replacing the existing self assessment system. The decision incurred the wrath of various political parties and the people alike.
