Krishna urges Governor to leave CVS issue to new government
Bangalore, Mar 21 (UNI) Senior Congress leader S M Krishna today appealed Karantaka Governor Rameshwar Thakur to leave the issue of the implementation of new property tax under capital value-based system (CVS) in the city to next elected government.
Speaking to newspersons here he said any rule framed by elected representatives was always better than any decision taken during the President's rule. The issue should be left to a popular government which is likely to be installed shortly, he said.
It may be recalled that the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had recently implemented the new house tax system replacing the existing self assessment system. This had invited wrath from all the political parties and the people alike.
