GGP issues whip ahead of RS polls in MP

Bhopal, Mar 21 (UNI) The Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP) has issued a whip to its three MLAs in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly to vote in favour of Congress-supported independent candidate Vivek Krishna Tankha in the Rajya Sabha elections.

''GGP President Heera Singh Markham decided to support Mr Tankha after discussion with state President K S Kumre and other office-bearers,'' GGP General Secretary Dhirendra Singh Dhiru said in a release issued here today.

The three MLAs are Manmohan Shah Batti, Darbu Singh Uike and Ramgulam Uike.

Mr Markham will go to Betul on March 25 for submitting his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha bypoll there.
