DAN strength rises to 36

Kohima, Mar 21 (UNI) The number of legislators supporting the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) has reached 36 following the joining of one more independent candidate in the 60-Member Assembly.

According to a statement issued by Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF) Press Secretary V Abu Metha, DAN now stands with 26 NPF, two BJP, two NCP and six Independent legislators and all the 36 legislators have signed in documents to support DAN leadership and the Government for the entire tenure of 11th Nagaland legislative Assembly.

It may be mentioned here that the present Nagaland Assembly has 23 Congress legislators and one Independent legislator, who is not supporting any side so far.
