Woman ends life after setting ablaze two sons

Rajkot, Mar 20 (UNI) Five people, including a woman and her two children, allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in Junagadh and Rajkot districts.

A 35-year-old woman, Lakhuben Ashok, allegedly committed suicide by setting herself and her two sons -- Bhavesh (8) and Paresh (6) -- ablaze at her house in Kanzadi village of Vanthali taluka in Junagadh district yesterday. Police said some family feud had led the woman to take the step.

In the second incident, a teenaged girl Bharti Chavda (19) and her nephew Kishor Chavda consumed some pesticide at Bhuki village of Dhoraji taluka in Rajkot district. Both were shifted to a Junagadh hospital but died while undergoing treatment, police said. The reason behind the suicides was not known.
