UT Admn. to introcude theatre as subject for students
Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) The Chandigarg Administration decided to introduce theatre as a subject for students in their curriculum, Union Territory Home and Education Secretary Krishna Mohan said today.
The Administration also decided to introduce theatre training programme for teachers in schools in the union territory, he added.
He said that training in theatre will equip teachers with theatre skills and help them use some of these in teaching various subjects with ease.
He said that separate space in colleges or schools exclusively for such workshops will be made available. He also added that administration will extend necessary help in buying of equipments and props needed for the workshop.
