TN Governor undergoes bypass surgery

Chennai, Mar 20 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor S S Barnala today successfully underwent a coronary artery bypass surgery at the Apollo Hospitals here.

A bulletin said here a team of doctors headed by Dr M R Girinath performed the surgery.

Earlier in the day, Dr Barnala underwent an angiogram which showed two critical blocks in the left system of the coronary arteries.

''The Governor is recovering well,'' the bulletin said.
