Take steps for protection of Taj Mahal: SP member

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Samajwadi Party's Ramji Lal Suman (SP) today urged the Government to take immediate steps for the protection of the 358-year-old Taj Mahal, India's only Wonder of the World.

Raising the matter in the Lok Sabha under Rule 377, Mr Suman said Taj Mahal is a site of national heritage but till now no proper action has been initiated for its protection. As a result, pieces of marble as well as gem stones are regularly falling from different places of the edifice. Apart from this, the white marble has also turned yellow in most places on account of chemicals in the air.
