RS pays tribute to S C Angre, Jayant Malhotra
New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha today made obituary references to former members S C Angre and Jayant Malhotra, who passed away on March 15 and 17 respectively.
While Angre (88) was the member of the House from Madhya Pradesh from April 1970 to April 1976, Malhotra (73) represented Uttar Pradesh from April 1994 to 2000.
Reading out the obituary reference as soon as the House assembled this morning, Chairman Hamid Ansari said Angre and Malhotra's passing away the nation had lost able parliamentarians.
As a mark of respect to the departed members, members of the House observed one-minute silence.
