Miscreants shoot at Lok Adalat Judge

Jamshedpur, Mar 20 (UNI) Unknown miscreants today shot at Jamshedpur Lok Adalat Chairman R P Ravi near his residence at Hume Pipe area here.

Police said Mr Ravi, also former District and Sessions Judge, was attacked by three miscreants, who arrived on a motor bike.

The criminals opened fire on the judge from close range and three bullets hit him.

The judge was rushed to the Tata Main Hospital here and his condition was said to be out of danger now, police added.

Mr Ravi gave verdict in several important cases, including the killing of the jailor of Sakchi jail by notorious criminal Akhilesh Singh.

Police suspected revenge to be the motive of the attack.

No one was arrested in connection with the incident so far, police said.
