K'tka committed to protect its border with Maharashtra
Bangalore, Mar 20 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today said that there was no need to react with regard to the resolutions passed on Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue in legislative assembly of Maharashtra.
Mr Thakur told reporters after the executive meeting that it is a good tradition to maintain order in reacting to what happens in the legislative assembly of other states.
He said that the state government is committed to protect the interests of the state and its people when it comes to protect its territorial integrity.
"We cannot join forces in passing such resolutions or giving our reactions to the resolutions by people of other state," he said.
Mr Thakur said the state government will certainely take action if the Centre approaches us for our stand on the vexed border issue, he said.
