Govt committed to protect its border with Maharashtra: Governor
Bangalore, Mar 20 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today said the state government was committed to protecting the interests of the state when it comes to protecting its territorial integrity.
Mr Thakur told reporters, after the executive meeting, that there was no need to react to the resolutions passed by Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Maharashtra-Karnataka border.t He said it was a good tradition to maintain order in reacting to the happenings in the Assembly of other states.
''We cannot join forces in passing such resolutions or giving our reactions to the resolutions by people of other state,'' he said.
Mr Thakur said the state government would certainly convey its stand if the Centre approached us for our stand on the vexed border issue.
