Former INTUC Secretary passes away
Kochi, Mar 20 (UNI) The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) former Kerala Secretary, K V K Panicker died after a prolonged illness at a private hospital here today.
He was 76 and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Panicker was associated with the trade union wing of the Congress party for the last four decades and instrumental in affiliating scores of unions with INTUC.
An expert in labour laws, Panicker was a close associate of senior Congress leader K Karunakaran.
The funeral will take place in the premises of his house at Palakkal in Thrissur district tomorrow.
