Cong MP seeks bifurcation of Environment and Forest Ministry
New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Congress' K C Singh Bawa today urged the Government to bifurcate the Ministry of Environment and Forest for effectively ensuring forest conservation, protecting the tigers and environment.
Raising the matter in the Lok Sabha under Rule 377, Mr Bawa said the Ministry should be bifurcated into a Ministry of Forest and Animals and a Ministry of Environment.
He said once the Ministry is bifurcated in such a manner, then the monitoring of tiger conservation efforts or for that purpose, of any other animal could be much better ensured, he added.
