Conference on Indian expatriates in Gulf on Mar 29
Panaji, Mar 20 (UNI) Union Minister for NRI affairs Vyalar Ravi will inaugurate a conference on Indian expatriates in Gulf countries, organised by the Department of NRI Affairs, Government of Goa, to be held here on March 29.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat would be the Chief Guest and Chief Secretary, J P Singh would be the Guest of Honour. Commissioner for NRI Affairs Eduardo Faleiro would preside over the conference, an official release said here yesterday.
On the occasion, Community Service Leadership Awards would be presented to some leaders of the Goan community in the Gulf countries.
A Handbook for NRGs, containing information useful to the emigrants and facilities available to them, would be released at the Conference.
Action Taken Reports on memoranda submitted to the NRI Commissioner during his recent visit to Gulf countries would also be circulated at the Conference.
