Banks closed tomorrow in Kerala for Good Friday
New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) The Kerala government today said it had declared a bank holiday in the state tomorrow on the occasion of Good Friday.
The state government has declared March 21 (Good Friday) as a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Hence, all banks will be closed in Kerala, an official statement said.
Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, state governments may notify and declare any 15 holidays in their states, including three National Holidays, namely Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
