Army jawan killed in scooter accident in poonch, J

Jammu, Mar 20 (UNI) An army jawan was killed in a scooter accident in Mandi area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources today said.

Sepoy Sarfraz Hussain, of 17 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, who had come to his native village Noona Handi on leave, died late last evening, sources said.

''The jawan was critically injured after his scooter skidded off the road near Bondi Chechiyan village in Mandi yesterday,'' they said.

The soldier was referred to Government Medical College and hospital, Jammu, from district hospital Poonch but he succumbed to his injuries on the way, sources informed.
