Anis Ansari removed from his post

Lucknow, Mar 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati tonight removed Agriculture Production Commissioner Anis Ansari from his post and appointed R K Mittal in his place.

According to official sources Mr Ansari organised a fashion show allegedly to promote the business of his wife who is a fashion designer by profession.

Sources said the Chief Minister, taking a serious note of the matter, called a meeting at her residence and decided to remove Mr Ansasri. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Mishra, Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar and others.

Mr Ansari has been told to clear his stand within seven days.
