1 held for illegally transporting gelatine sticks

Rajahmundry, Mar 20 (UNI) The city police have arrested a person for illegally transporting gelatine sticks and detonators here.

Police said V Rajagopal was arrested yesterday following a tip off.

They seized 11 gelatine sticks, 37 non-electronic detonators and 40 electronic detonators from him.

However, Police ruled out any Maoist involvement in the case.

Later, he was produced before the Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody.
