Woman charred for resisting rape, accused held
Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mar 19 (UNI) Police arrested a youth for allegedly setting afire a widow after she resisted rape in Rajabpur locality of the district this evening.
The incident occurred last night at village Machria, where Pintu had doused kerosene upon the victim and set her on fire after she resisted molestation, ASP Udai Pratap Singh said.
The critically burnt had succumbed on way to hospital.
Meanwhile, the DGP announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for the winning police team.
