TN Govt asks ELCOT to take Single Window facilitation work
Chennai, Mar 19 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government with a view to epediting approvals for IT buildings, has directed the State- owned ELCOT to take over the Single Window facilitation work.
ELCOT Managing Director Umashankar, in a press release here said the first application under the Single window facilitation was filed by WIPRO Technologies Limited for their proposed 5,00,000 sq ft IT building in ELCOT promoted IT Park cum Special Economic Zone at Vilankurichi in Coimbatore today.
As per the Government order, approval has to be given within a period of 60 days, he said adding this was a very important milestone in the State's IT promotion history.
Mr Umashankar said the ELCOT would take every effort to see that all the approvals were obtained within a period of 60 days, thus opening a new chapter in IT Industry development in the State.
