The 'Khalsa' is ruling India: Cong leader

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) Punjab Congress leader Lal Singh today asserted that the 'khalsa' is ruling the country through Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is at the helm of affairs.

The reference was made while intiating the debate on the budget in the state Assembly.

''There is Khalsa Raj (rule) in India,'' he said while refering to Dr Singh. ''You should be thankful to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for this,'' Mr Singh said.

''At least they (Akalis) have stopped saying that the Centre is against the Sikhs,'' he added.

Mr Singh also referred the numerous projects that Dr Singh had cleared for Punjab.
