RDPR 14-day exhibition from tomorrow
Bangalore, Mar 19 (UNI) Rural Development and Panchayat Raj(RDPR) Department will hold a 14-day exhibition to provide market to rural products manufactured under Suvarn Jayanthi Rojgar Yojana from tomorrow in the city.
Talking to newspersons here yesterday, Department Principal Secretary K Jairaj said the National Cottage Industries exhibition named as 'Cauvery Saras' would aim to make ethnic products accessible to urban elite, protect heritage art forms and raise the living standards of rural artisans.
At least 220 stalls with participation of more than 400 artisans from 12 States, including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, would be put up till April two, he added.
Mr Jairaj said the Centre had sanctioned for Rural Business Hubs at district level and the Government would set up bamboo products in the State.
