Police registered cases against Edu Minister Shajahan

Puducherry, Mar 19 (UNI) Police tonight registered cases against Puducherry Education Minister M O H F Shajahan and two of his relatives on charges of cheating a Malaysian company.

According to police, the D Nagar police have registered cases under Section 420, 447, 445, 120(B), 41 and 341 of IPC against the Minister.

The arrest was followed by a direction from the Puducherry Judicial Magistrate-II A M Krishnasamy. The Malaysian company moved the court to recover their loan, to the tune of Rs 1.80 crore, granted to Mr Shajahan in 1997.
