K'taka: Asadullah, Riyazuddin custody extended

Hubli, Mar 19: The judicial custody of suspected terrorists Asadulla Abubaker and Mohammad Ghous alias Riyazuddin Nasir was extended till March 27 by the JMFC II court here today.

The duo, who were arrested in Davangere district in January for riding a stolen two wheeler from Goa and later revealed their terror links were brought to Hubli sub jail yesterday from Hyderabad and Bellary jails respectively. They complained to the judge that inmates of the jail had tried to attack them and demanded they be lodged in Dharwad jail. Judge K B Patil observed that the jail authorities would do the needful in the matter and if necessary provide medical aid to the accused.

The judge further extended their remand till March 27 and ordered that they be lodged in Hubli sub jail.

The JMFC I court had already remanded on March 14 last, other five suspected terrorists -- Asif Mohammad, Allabaksha Yadavad, Sameer Siddiki, Shakeel Mali and Yayha Mammukutti to judicial custody till March 27.

COD sources said it would seek the custody of both Asadullha and Mohammad Ghous in a couple of days for further investigation.
