Irregularity in preparing Kisan Card: J'khnd Opposition
Ranchi, Mar (UNI) The BJP-led Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly today accused the UPA-backed government of indulging in corruption in preparing Kisan Cards.
Raising the issue, BJP member Saryu Rai alleged that there were irregularities in preparing ''Kisan Cards'' by a private firm.
He said that government had decided to prepare 2.50 lakh cards for about ten districts at Rs 100 each but was made at Rs 325 each by one Swastik group.
Mr Rai also informed that following this the government has made a loss of about Rs 5.31 crores.
The BJP member also moved work adjournment motion on the issue, which was later on rejected by Speaker Alamgir Alam.
However, Agriculture Minister Nalin Soren refuted opposition's allegation to which the BJP members trooped into the well shouting slogans against the government.
Intervening into the matter, Chief Minister Madhu Koda said that government would look into the matter.
