Governor greets people on Id-E-Milad

Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today conveyed his greeetings and warm felicitations to people on the occasion of Id-E-Milad.

In his message, the Governor said, ''Id-E-Milad, the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, is a very special occasion for millions of people across the world. The holy Prophet was an apostle of peace and nobility. ''He was one of the foremost social reformers and humanist, who stood for the equality of men and women before God.

Id-E-Milad offers an opportunity to remember the holy Prophet with gratitude and reaffirm our commitment to the ideals which were dear to his heart,'' he added.
