Deora, Chavan, Jawadekar bag RS berths
Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, Union Minister of State at PMO Prithviraj Chavan, BJP national spokesman Prakash Jawadekar and four others secured Rajya Sabha berths from Maharashtra unopposed.
The other four are Y P Trivedi and Janardana Waghmare (NCP), and Bharatkumar Raut and Rajkumar Dhoot (Shiv Sena).
There were seven Rajya Sabha seats from Maharashtra and seven candidates had filed their nominations. Today was the last day of withdrawal of nominations.
