CPI(ML)criticises anti-naxal task force comment
Lucknow, Mar 19 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Lenninist) today decried upon the statement made by anti-naxal task force, whichcharged the party and other frontal organisations of promoting violent naxal activities in the country.
''The statement by a Central Government official yesterday was merely an irresponsible reaction to save their face from the present situation and gain political mileage,'' a statment of the CPI(ML) state committee said.
In a press release here, the party claimed that due to their waging agitation against the government on the development front most of the banned naxal organisations have left the state and in the recent past not a single case of naxal violence was reported in UP.
''The aim of such statement would be to crush the democratic agitation of the Left supported organisation in the country, who are working for the poor and ignored masses,'' it further read.
Yesterday, the anti-naxal task force had expressed deep concern on the role of the frontal organisations of the naxalites which was coming on the way in wiping out these banned outfits.
Task force chairperson and Union Home Ministry, special secretary (internal security), M Kumavat had said on record that these frontal organisations like the CPI(ML) and the CPI(ML) Liberations were doing all type of publicity to gain popularity.
''These frontal organisations meet the youth, students and even common people to put forward their ideologies and try to gain support,'' he had said.
''These organisations also try to brain wash the people and lure them to join the naxal organisations. In order to grab political power these organisations also participate in the election process, but till now they have been rejected by the people'', Mr Kumavat had added.
