Centre must reserve 20% seats for EBC: Azad
Darbhanga, Mar 19 (UNI) BJP Sports Cell national president Kirti Azad today demanded 20 per cent reservation for the Extremely Backward Community (EBC) in Lok Sabha and state assemblies to redress the grievances of their community.
Addressing a public meeting here, the former MP lauded the Nitish Kumar government for making provisions of reservation for women and EBC in Panchayat and Municipal elections and said the pace of progress had acclerated manifold under the present regime in Bihar.
He criticised the Centre for hike in prices of essential commodities thus creating problems for the poor and accused the UPA government of doing nothing substantial to check unemployment in the country.
