Bomb scare at U.T. Civil Secretariat

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) Panic-gripped Union Territory Civil Secretariat here today following anonymous telephone call that a bomb had been planted in the secretariat building.

Immediately after the caller made a call around noon, police swung into action and cordonoed off the area.

Police have launched a massive search to locate the bomb if any, with a help of sniffer dogs. Fire tenders have been kept in readiness to meet any eventuality in the wake of bomb scare.

The entire building has been vacated by employees.
