BJP demands CBI probe into Keeling's episode

Panaji, Mar 19 (UNI) The BJP has today demanded a CBI probe into the alleged rape and murder of British teenager Scarlette Eden Keeling.

Party spokesman Damodar Naik told mediapersons that the entire episode including Scarlet's mother Fiona's charge that the Home Minister and the police were in hand in glove with the drug cartel needed a thorough investigation.

The incident has tarnished the image of Goa as a safe tourist destination, with the police failing to keep strict vigil over the beaches, particularly at places where foreigners flock, he added.
