Bird flu resurfaces in yet another district, culling begins tomorrow
Malda, Mar 19 (UNI) Bird flu has resurfaced in Malda district a month after it was declared wiped out from this district and fresh culling operations will begin tomorrow.
District Animal Development Officer M K Sit today said they have already received confirmation over phone regarding its recurrence from High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory, Bhopal.
''We will receive the official report tomorrow and will begin the culling thereafter,'' Mr Sit said.
The test samples were sent to Bhopal seven days back and since then, at least 752 birds have died in the district's Englishbazar area and Harishchandrapur block.
