Badal gives financial assistance to Bhag Singh

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today gave a financial assistance of Rs one lakh to eminent PR specialist, Mr Bhag Singh, who retired from the Punjab Information and Public Relations Department as Deputy Director (Song and Drama).

Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr Harcharan Bains presented a cheque of Rs one lakh on behalf of Mr Badal.

''Mr Bhag Singh has not been keeping good health from last three years and Mr Badal's gesture is in recognisition of the excellent services rendered by Mr Singh in the field of song and drama besides Punjabi films,'' Mr Bains said.

Mr Bains said that the state government was seriously considering honouring Mr Singh for his outstanding role particularly in mobilising artists in support of public causes.

Mr Bains was accompanied by Information and Public Relations Director Tejveer Singh.
